What IS that song?

That sounds sorta like the that guy, what was his name... He did that thing. About that girl, or something. You know.

This song, and the one I can't remember - - together they kinda make me think of that band I saw once. And it all reminds me of that time all that stuff happened back before.

Funny how music can remind me of so many things. It's like one thing leads to another, and somehow it all relates. Or something.

C. U. Next Tuesday - - at KALX in Berkeley!

Just wanted to let you know that I'm terribly tickled to announce that next week I'll be making a guest DJ appearance back at my old stamping grounds, KALX in Berkeley.

This upcoming Tuesday, 1/23, I'll be sitting in with my old pal Sex 14s during his show from 9am to Noon. (That's Pacific time) Looks like my portion of the timeslot will be from around 9 until 11.

Spinning tunes, gabbing and having fun. Sounds good to me.

If you're in the Bay Area and within broadcast range, KALX is found on the dial at 90.7 FM.

If you're near an internet connection anywhere else on the planet, KALX is found at - -

http://kalx.berkeley.edu/

There's a few different listening options to choose from on their home page.

I hope you'll listen in if you get the chance.

Big sloppy thanks to the lovely and talented Sex 14s for hosting me!

Something something choices flowing from one to the next, something stream of conciousness whatever.

Blah blah blah vintage new wave / punk (there's a concept, who knew?), doo-wop into merseybeat freakbeat eurobeat, etc etc, rock & roll was once fresh and conquered the world, rant rave whine declawed industrial commodity.

Sigh. But what fun to dig through the old tunes.

If you have any questions about the music, the method to the madness, suggestions or just a hello, please place your cursor onto the 'email me' link over there and tap-tap it one time for me.

Thanks for your time! Thanks for listening!
Farewell Yvonne DeCarlo and Robert Anton Wilson! (Together again?)

radio boise playlist for the evening of 01/04/07 - - another LIVE show

Another training session to familiarize myself with the different board. A little smoother this time - - Some questions answered, blanks filled. Made use of much needed repetition on critical maneuvers whilst pulling some tried & true music choices from the back pocket. (no new ground covered there)

I think a bit more training to go yet before I'm ready to flounder on my own on a regular basis. - - But getting closer!

radio boise playlist for week of 01/01/07

Another New Year, and the same old eclectic and musty junk.

Hmm... Anything in this set from THIS century? No, not even. Does that tell us that 'Everything Old Is New'? Probably not. Maybe next time.

Looks like the focus in this week's show shifted and drifted from some kind of vintage Euro beat to Beatsploitation and bebop, found a link to Cowboy Bebop and Western Swing, and then morphed to Big Beat R&B & Rockabilly Roots, before sliding out the door with some Euro Pop of a different stripe.

All & all a howling good time.

Thanks! Here's to a brighter '07.
